PhoenixSoft Introduces Hardware-Independent Media Server/Softswitch
at Intele-Card Expo
Media Server Rounds-out Full Suite of IP Communications
Solutions for Small-to-Large-Sized Service Providers
Phoenix,
Arizona...April 16, 2007...PhoenixSoft, Inc., a provider of
telephony solutions for converged networks, announced today that it
is introducing a new Media Server/Softswitch solution at the
upcoming Intele-Card Expo. The CMS/SIP Media Server will be
demonstrated in booth 413 April 24-26 at the Miami Beach Convention
Center, Miami, Florida.
The CMS/SIP Media
Server provides the flexibility to work within any SIP network,
regardless of existing switching hardware. All SIP devices can
access a full set of enhanced features.
PhoenixSoft
developed the new Media Server for service providers to integrate
low-cost, feature-rich, IP applications within three types of
network configurations:
-
An existing TDM network. The Media Server VoIP-enables a
Cantata-based (formerly Excel) TDM network.
-
An existing softswitch network. The CMS/SIP Media Server
can integrate with existing local or remote gateways and/or
industry softswitches, such as Sonus, NexTone and Veraz.
-
A stand-alone softswitch network. The Media Server can
function as a stand-alone softswitch platform integrating
end-to-end IP capabilities within a service provider’s network.
In all three of
these applications, PhoenixSoft’s CMS/SIP Media Server integrates a
full set of advanced features and functionality. In addition, a CMS
Class 5 Feature Server can be added to provide IP Centrex features.
"We’re extremely
excited about our new CMS/SIP Media Server/Softswitch solution,”
said Paul Amick, PhoenixSoft’s co-founder. “It seamlessly
transitions a network to VoIP and provides a feature-rich,
affordable solution for the very small to the largest of service
providers.
“PhoenixSoft has a
rich history and proven track record with our CMS solutions,”
continued Amick. “For years, we have been considered the leader in
integrating advanced features and functionality for Excel-based
networks. Now, we’ve developed the solution for independent
SIP-enabled networks. Service providers will benefit from the same
reliability, support and proven technology that they have come to
expect from us.”
