Mox Telecom Group Upgrades to VoIP-Enabled Network with
PhoenixSoft’s Cirrus Softswitch
Phoenix,
Arizona...July 25, 2007...PhoenixSoft, Inc., a provider of
telephony solutions for converged networks, announced today that Mox
Telecom Group (“Mox”), a leading provider of calling cards and
telecommunication services throughout Europe, has selected
PhoenixSoft to upgrade its network to next-generation technology and
applications.
Based in Germany,
Mox provides a wide variety of pre-paid products and applications.
The company partners with calling card wholesalers and resellers of
customized calling cards, telecommunication consultants, call
centers, Internet cafés and online shops.
“With
PhoenixSoft we have a strong partner at our side,”
said Dr. Günter Schamel, CEO of Mox Telecom AG. “This
investment will pave the way to new overseas markets and strengthen
our current position. We are expecting an ROI of less than five to
six years. ”
To maintain its
leadership position within its overseas markets, Mox selected
PhoenixSoft and the PhoenixSoft Cirrus Softswitch to provide
Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
applications for its calling card business. By migrating to VoIP
and SIP, Mox can efficiently provide the most sought-after Class 4
and Class 5 features. With the PhoenixSoft feature set, Mox can
expand its product line and enter new markets. Some specific
advantages include flexible rating and tarriffing, real-time
recharge options, maximum security, streamlined account maintenance,
tandem features and telephony services including auto attendant,
caller ID, conference calling, voice mail, call forwarding,
three-way calling, etc.
“When Mox’s current
provider did not have the ability to migrate the network to VoIP and
SIP, we were very pleased Mox selected PhoenixSoft for its next-gen
capabilities,” said Paul Amick, PhoenixSoft’s co-founder. “As a
leading European pre-paid provider, Mox gives PhoenixSoft an
opportunity to expand its distribution footprint. We have
successfully deployed advanced switching solutions throughout North
America and South America, and now PhoenixSoft is bringing its
comprehensive switching solutions to the European market.”
