Western Wireless International
Installs PhoenixSoft CMS in Haiti
PhoenixSoft’s CMS platform selected for enhanced pre-paid
calling card & voice mail services
Phoenix, Arizona...February 8, 2006...PhoenixSoft, Inc., a
provider of telephony solutions for converged networks, announced
today that Western Wireless International (“WWI”) and its
Communication Cellulaire d’Haiti (“COMCEL”) operating company in
Haiti have implemented the PhoenixSoft CMS platform into their
communications network. The CMS now provides pre-paid calling card
and voice mail services throughout the island of Haiti.
With substantial communication
needs not being met by the country’s landline infrastructure, WWI is
expanding its Haitian network to meet growing demand. WWI installed
a 4000-port CMS TDM platform to add capacity, provide enhanced
features and increase reliability. The CMS replaced an existing
platform to upgrade overall capability.
"We are happy the CMS platform
provides the advanced functionality and dependability Western
Wireless International was seeking,” said Paul Amick, PhoenixSoft’s
co-founder. “Haiti is an important market for WWI and we look
forward to helping the company meet its strategic and operational
objectives.”
PhoenixSoft’s CMS call
processing platform enables service providers like WWI to offer any
basic or enhanced telephony service to any customer, anywhere in the
world. Some of these services include:
-
TDM and/or VoIP Applications
-
Traditional Switching and/or Next-Gen Softswitch Support
-
Pre-Paid and Post-Paid Calling Card Accounts
-
1+ Accounts
-
International Gateway Applications
-
One Number Calling
-

-
Web-Based Administration
