Western Wireless Miami Adds
PhoenixSoft Platform
PhoenixSoft integrates second CMS platform within pre-paid
calling card network
Phoenix, Arizona…April 5, 2006...PhoenixSoft, Inc., a provider
of telephony solutions for converged networks, announced today that
Western Wireless Corporation (“Western Wireless”), a leading
provider of wireless communications to rural America, has selected
another PhoenixSoft CMS platform for its Miami network expansion.
From the Miami
location, Western Wireless provides corporate pre-paid calling
solutions throughout the United States. PhoenixSoft is integrating
a second CMS platform at this location to serve the expanding
customer base.
In July 2005,
Western Wireless shareholders approved a merger with Alltel. The
$6.5 billion merger was completed in August 2005, creating one of
the largest rural operators in the United States.
